Extra Credit: Two Good Photos for News Stories

Hey everyone!

I was reading some articles today and came across two great photos in my opinion.

Here is the link to one of the articles...
Photo One

In this picture, I think the photographer and editor did a great job of focusing on the player holding the trophy up. You can also see the confetti in the picture, but it is a little blurred because the focus is on the player. This causes me, as a viewer, to be drawn into the photo. The lighting is just right as well, with perfect contrast and saturation. In addition, the trophy looks so shiny. It's like you are seeing it in real life! Great photo to go along with the story. It catches the player in a perfect pose to show that he is happy after winning the Super Bowl.

Photo Two

In this second picture, the focus is clearly on the arena name: The Barclays Center. I believe the lighting is perfect in this one. It is dark outside, but the picture brightens the most important parts of the arena, the name and the light that shines down from it. The angle of the photo is awesome as well. It catches people walking into the arena, and the blur of the feet shows that they are walking fast and can't wait to get into the arena. The story is all about the "fan experience" of this arena and their new app, which is parellel to the picture. Just from this photo, I would like to go to the Barclays Center! Again, the lighting is dark, but the highlights of the photo are shown perfectly. It has good contrast and is not unclear at all.

Hope you guys agree with me on the photos!
