Hello World...I mean Brunch Club!

Hello all! My name is Elysse Delia Alvarado and I am currently am a sophomore Journalism major. I'm a transfer so I am a little behind in journalism coursework, but thats a-okay. My go to news sites are New York Times and NPR. I check NY Times Style, Vogue and Perez Hilton more often than I would care to admit. I'm not sure what area of journalism that I'm interested in, but so far I really enjoy learning about every area and am excited to continue.

Anyway,here are some random facts about me. I am obsessed with magazines. Especially Vogue. I have collected them ever since my first issue which was this one. (Below)

I love studying art history. I am currently really in to anything by Mark Rothko. One of my favorite pieces is "Ophelia" by Sir John Everett Millais. Isn't it gorgeous? The colors are so vivid and the work is so beautiful, yet it depicts one of the most tragic Shakespearean characters.

One of my new years resolutions is to learn the Charleston!
